I have heard lots of reports about this over the years. Many people claim there is a huge bomber that no one has ever seen, and many claim that there is a smaller aircraft which crashed into the scree and slid into the lake.
Why Am I Asking This Now?

I have never been diving Wastwater, but I have been there many many times as surface support on courses and I know many many divers who go regularly and have never seen anything. This then begs the question, have you seen an aircraft in Wastwater?
