Indigo started diving in August 2013 and became hooked. In just a few short months she has zoomed to the top level achievable for her age as Junior Master Scuba Diver.
She was officially verified as a Master Scuba Diver in April 2014 with our friends at Orca Dive Club El Gouna, after a challenging night dive, which actually dive number 80.
So far Indigo has completed 5 specialities including Night Diver, Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Nitrox and Dry Suit. Don’t misunderstand, Indigo is not just a warm weather holiday diver, she has also completed dives in 0 degree temperatures in the UK, although she does have a preference for the wrecks at Abu Nuhas (and so do I if I am honest!) and will hopefully be diving the mighty SS Thistlegorm in a few weeks.
To be even nearer to some great diving, Indigo will be relocating to El Gouna in the coming months which means she will have some of the best dive sites in the world right on her doorstep. Who knows, as I spend a lot of time in El Gouna I may get the chance to dive with this now famous young diver!
Congratulations Indigo, this is certainly a well deserved accolade and I am sure your diving experience will grow and grow with access to the amazing Red Sea right outside your front door!
