Finding the time to get out diving after your course with the dive instructor can be hard, you’ve got all those other things that come up that just don’t seem to let you get away….
Make time:
The answer is simpler than you think. What you need to do is make your next dive course one of the things that just come up. Set in your schedule that you need to do your Advanced, Rescue or a Specialty course/s of choice and you are good to go. Make just one step at a time if you need to, it makes it easier to fit it and soon enough you’ll be out diving regularly and it won’t seem like it’s affecting anything at all.
Set aside one of your weekend mornings for a dive if the conditions suit, make Thursday an early finish day from work and come in for an After Work Dive.
Get certified:
Getting the certifications for your Master Scuba Diver rating is as simple as finding out when the next course is, set the dates aside early to make sure you are free and contact the dive store to book your place. eLearning for core level courses and some Specialty courses like Nitrox and Digital Underwater Photography can be done in your own time. Make time for a few hours of relaxed study once or twice a week and before you know it, you’re ready for the pool or Open Water dives of your next course.
Take the opportunities and book in early:
Open Water Diver courses are run regularly but it pays to get in when you can for your Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses too as they are a little less frequent. Specialty ratings are a great way to build quality underwater experience and certifications with the dive instructor; most are available locally with a minimum of 2 people and up to 8 people (divers) per course and sometimes more.
