This itinerary, aboard MV Sea Spirit, gives you 12 days on board and will travel north from Male, crossing the 80km of open ocean known as the Kaashidhoo channel, to take in some of the best dive areas of the northern atolls of Baa, Raa, Noonu, Lhaviyani and Shaviyani. There is a one-way domestic flight from Baa Atoll to Male at the end of the trip to return you to Male.
The manta cleaning stations of Baa Atoll, including Hanifaru Lagoon, are really buzzing from May to November and the currents create the perfect conditions for whalesharks – so this is a really great time to travel north! There are fantastic thila dives in Raa and Noonu Atolls – including the spectacular Christmas Rock. Lhaviyani Atoll has exhilarating channel diving so we expect to see grey reef sharks, shovelnose and bowmouth guitarfish. The pristine coral reefs in Shaviyani Atoll are rarely-dived and we often see sharks here as well. This should be an exciting trip and perfect for divers looking for a bit of adventure and with photo opportunities to satisfy everyone!
