Roatan’s Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort and N2Pix are proud to announced the launch of the 2nd edition of the Turquoise Bay International Underwater Film Festival.
Founders of the event, Michel Labrecque and Julie Ouimet of N2Pix and Jesus Alberto Reyes, COO and Commercial Director of Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort, are excited to announce that again this year, filmmakers will be competing for over $10 000 in prizes.
The International competition is open to filmmakers from around the world. For the 2017 edition, filmmakers can submit films in two categories: short film under 7 minutes and documentary short film under 26 minutes. Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place films in each category. The Best in Show will receive the Stan Waterman Legacy Award. Organizers of the event are once again happy to pay tribute to Mr. Waterman, a pioneer in underwater filmmaking. The submission deadline is April 15, 2017 with the winners to be announced on June 30, 2017.
