Ontario Underwater Explorers (OUE) Scuba Club is hosting the 25th annual Scuba Swap and Sale on April 29, 2017.
One of GTA recreational diving community’s premier events, the Swap will bring together scuba divers who would like to sell or buy gear, dive shops, and experts presenting diving- and environment-related topics of interest to the diving community.
“When we started back in 1992” – says Ro Omrow, who has participated in all Swap events, “we just wanted to have a gear-exchange event, like the ones skiers had. Today, the Swap offers much more – and we keep improving it to be more fun for both our volunteers and our visitors.”
Over the years, the Swap has been drawing steady crowd. “It is a unique opportunity to see a lot of gear, both used and new, live and in one place,” adds Dragan Zugic, OUE President and Chair of this year’s Swap Committee. “It is also a chance to run into your old dive buddies – and meet new ones.”
The Scuba Swap takes place from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Rameses Shriners Hall, 124 Queens Plate Drive, Toronto (Hwy 27 and Rexdale Blvd, accross from the Woodbine Racetrack). Admission is $5.00, children under 12 are free.
