Kathryn Britnell
Kathryn is an underwater model, writer, girly girl, reef angel, JTZ GRL (her car license plate), kitchen lawyer, former teen model, Queen of the Brine, “wife extraordinaire”, stiletto shoe aficionado, ocean temptress, medicine woman, lecturer, photographer, chefette, siren of the sea, mermaid & tea sommelier. The first published photo of her working as an underwater model appeared December 22, 2010 in PhotographyBB Magazine. Certainly a notable achievement as she was only certified as a scuba diver three weeks earlier in the Philippines on November 30, 2010! Kathryn has experienced exhilarating encounters with tiger sharks, whale sharks, sea turtles, sea lions, and several species of venomous lionfish in the Philippines, splashing into zero degree centigrade iceberg infested waters in Alaska and has explored the ocean’s depths after dark.
Both Jett & Kathryn are members of Underwater Archaeological Society of British Columbia (UASBC), a group dedicated to researching, locating, identifying, surveying, and protecting the maritime heritage of British Columbia. UASBC is committed to this task for the interest, education and benefit of all British Columbians, present and future.
