ScubaCaribe is excited to announce that the implementation of PADI Touch™ has been completed in all of their destinations worldwide, taking a giant stride towards the digitalization of their PADI Five Star dive facilities.
PADI Touch™ is a tablet version of PADI courses and catapults scuba diver training beyond the classroom, home or office. With more and more people choosing to view content on their mobile devices, this revolutionary tool makes it easier than ever to learn dive theory on-the-go.
Watch, listen, read, scroll, tap and interact while you learn to scuba dive with PADI TOUCH™. It’s fun, it’s easy, it’s portable and it’s your entry to the underwater world as a scuba diver. It integrates the manual with the video into a powerful, tablet and smartphone based learning experience. When you dive in, you’ll:
- Learn diving facts, principles and safety concepts in preparation for your confined and open water dives.
- Watch video clips that show you the world of scuba diving.
- Take simple quizzes to make sure you understand the material as you progress.
“People are busy, so they have little time for classroom work or reading books. Our new app is the perfect way for them to learn at their own pace and enjoy an engaging, educational experience,” says Drew Richardson, CEO and President, PADI Worldwide.
With course content available offline without need for Wi-Fi access, PADI Touch™ is perfect for recapping dive theory in even the most remote diving destinations. The journey starts by downloading the free PADI Digital Library App available from the iTunes App Store for iOS and Android Apps on Google Play, and the content will be available offline without need for Wi-Fi access.
PADI TOUCH™ is currently available for the PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver course with ScubaCaribe in Aruba, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico and Panama.
