In the mid-1960s, their fleet of luxury liners carrying passengers and freight across the Great Lakes split from Canadian Pacific. Most were sent to scrap yards, but the S.S. Keewatin survived as a floating museum which an American collector had bought. Then a real estate company and its homeport city of Port McNicoll, Ontario started a project to bring home the vessel.
Hear the story of this great ship from the Friends of Keewatin organization’s Chairman, Eric Conroy, and watch the film recording his journey home.
