I’m 34 years old, born French in Guadeloupe (Caribbean Island) and am now a Canadian, and as such I proudly represent Canada in freediving competitions.
I am Matthieu Duvault, aka “El Matt”, competitive 90 meters deep national record holder Freediver and passionate Instructor Trainer for Molchanovs Education System in Mexico. Freediving is now the center of my life and has been for years, and I dedicate most of my time in educating freedivers through courses / coaching, and train for Competitions.
Currently based in Tulum, Riviera Maya, during the winter and spring season, I dedicate this time of the year to teach and coach freedivers, before switching to the summer season and traveling worldwide for Freediving Competitions.
Join me and discover the wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula!
Freedive the mysterious Cenotes of Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, Bacalar and Puerto Morelos, in a breathtaking journey into the Mayan culture.
In 2019 I ranked first place overall for Canada, and 3rd Canadian of all time in constant weight CWT with a nice 83 foot dive in infinity depth, Game 5, Cyprus.
In 2019, I set three first National Records for Canada, in CWTB Constant Weight Bifins, with 78m, 82m and 83m. See my Competition page for info and reviews about the recent competitions, ranking and pictures.
