Whales, the true sentinels of the seas and the smartest, largest and most vulnerable of all sea creatures on the next “Dive In with Sylvia & Liz” with ocean explorers Dr. Sylvia Earle and Liz Taylor.
Sylvia Earle remembers the exact day she had her first encounter with whales in the wild. On Valentine’s Day, 1977, off the coast of Maui, Sylvia looked over the side of her small boat and made eye contact with five of these huge sea mammals. They seemed as curious about her as she was of them. She fell in love.
Join Dr. Sylvia Earle and her daughter Liz Taylor on a unique pictorial journey, rich in personal stories of their experiences with these often enormous, and almost surreal, creatures. They will share their hope for change and protection, always with a passion to educate and encourage ocean and environmental activism.
Dr. Earle is an acclaimed global treasure for conservation, a renowned oceanographer, Chairman of Mission Blue, an Ocean Elder, and a National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence.
Her daughter, Liz Taylor, is a lifelong ocean explorer, entrepreneur, and businesswoman. “Dive in with Sylvia & Liz” is a casual, free-flowing, and educational conversation and encourages ocean enthusiasts of all ages to join. After a short presentation, Sylvia and Liz will take questions via Q & A text and voice call-in from the attendees. Get your questions ready!
