This week we’re talking to Craig Eley, he’s been diving for 15 years, completing almost 2000 logged dives and is a newly crowned member of the CDG. He started down the usual PADI path taking it up to divemaster.
He worked as a Dive Master for a few years in exchange for access to boats and trips etc. He then adventured into the world of technical diving completing TDI Open Circuit Trimix, CCR, Cave and Mine 2 and the SDI Solo Diver courses.
He modestly considers himself a very average diver with a passion for adventure in lots of sports – health, fitness and nutrition.
Craig’s recently been getting involved in cave/mine diving and has huge aspirations to explore and get on some mega expeditions. To earn a living Craig works as a ‘Hot Glove Electrical Engineer’ on the power lines meaning he works on live 11kv electrical lines.
