Horizon Arctic is an Offshore Supply Ship built in 2016 and operating under Canada’s flag. It has a carrying capacity of 4129 t DWT and it is reported that its current draught is 6.9 metres. Her total length (LOA) is 93.6 metres and she is 24 metres wide. She is one of the most technically versatile multi-function offshore support vessels in the world.
Horizon Arctic is classified as a clean design vessel and equipped with a dual propulsion system. This vessel meets stringent air emission and sea discharge requirements and can adapt the power requirements to the type of diesel-electric mode operation. She has a strong hull and enhanced winterization measures for its arctic area operations. She was built at the Vard Brattvaag shipyard in Norway and can carry 60 passengers.
