The Reef-World Foundation is recognised as the leading voice on sustainability solutions for the marine tourism industry. Through its flagship initiative, Green Fins, Reef-World drives sustainable behaviours for environmental protection by providing low-cost and practical solutions to local and industry-wide environmental challenges associated with the marine tourism industry. In partnership with local management teams, Reef-World has implemented Green Fins in Antigua & Barbuda, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Palau, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, with more countries in the pipeline.
As a key member of the Programmes and implementation team, you will be helping to protect one of the world’s most valuable ecosystems – coral reefs – by building the knowledge, capacity, and motivation for the global marine tourism industry to become more sustainable. We are seeking an analytically-minded and motivated Programmes Officer whose values align with the organisation’s. In addition to the grass-roots capacity building work, this role will play a critical part in evolving our monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) processes, and dispersing lessons learned to the Reef-World team and wider network to inform conservation strategies.
The Programmes Officer will be passionate about protecting coral reefs and the incredible marine life they support because of their ecological value as well as for the benefit of our stakeholders – local communities, visitors, and future generations.
