The Chamber of Diving and Watersports in Egypt welcomes the recent news from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt regarding new visa measures aimed at boosting tourism in the country. These new measures have been in effect since April 15, 2023, and include granting entry visas to Chinese citizens upon arrival at Egyptian airports, borders, and ports, as well as providing measures for granting visas to Turkish citizens.
In addition to these new measures, tourist groups from Algeria and Morocco are now able to enter Egypt with an entry visa sponsored by tourism companies. There are also new measures for granting visas to Iraqi citizens. These measures are in addition to the existing ones that were granted in April 2022, which have already led to an increase in tourism to Egypt.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is also currently coordinating with relevant authorities to announce the start date of the multiple-entry five-year visa application, which will further encourage tourists to visit Egypt.
With these new visa measures, Egypt is continuing to demonstrate its commitment to supporting and expanding its tourism industry. The country’s Red Sea is world-renowned for its incredible diving and watersports, and with these new visa measures, even more tourists will be able to experience it.
