It has been anticipated for a while, but it is now looking like the Blue O Two brand name is being retired, as the popular liveaboard operator updated the name of the Blue O Two Facebook page in the last few days, to become “Master Liveaboards – BO2”.
Following the administration of Blue O Two in November 2022, renowned for its sought-after Red Sea and Maldives liveaboards, the brand’s legacy persisted under the ownership of Scuba Tours Worldwide Limited.
In a significant development announced in November 2023, Master Liveaboards assumed control over the operations of Blue Horizon and Blue Melody, stationed in the Egyptian Red Sea, along with Blue Voyager, operating in the Maldives.
In an announcement made in early February, the brand stated:
“We are thrilled to share some exciting news that marks a new chapter in our journey together. You will know from recent communications that our Red Sea and Maldives vessels have joined the Master Liveaboards family. As part of our commitment to providing you with an exceptional experience, we are delighted to inform you that these products, as well as the rest of Master Liveaboards fleet, will now be offered directly through the Master Liveaboards brand. This decision allows us to offer you a broader range of destinations, products, and schedules, through a single brand; enhancing your dive adventures with us. To explore the whole Master Liveaboards fleet, including destinations, products, schedules, and prices, please visit the website: https://masterliveaboards.com. Blue o Two Facebook page, February 2024
Following the change of branding to the Blue O Two Facebook page on 27th March 2024, the Blue O Two website redirects to Master Liveaboards, but the Blue O Two Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts have so far retained their original name, albeit with some branding and logos changed.
