What a fun day this was! My boys came with me out to Prospect where the conditions were more than ideal. Lots of pottery shards, bottles, clay pipe stems and other debris. I got to meet local residents too after and learned more about the history of the village.

Prospect, Nova Scotia
Prospect is a Canadian coastal community on Nova Scotia’s Chebucto Peninsula, part of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
It is located approximately 23 kilometres (14 miles) southwest of Halifax, and approximately 24 minutes from Peggy’s Cove. Over the last 260 years, the community has served as an important political, economic, and religious centre, as well as a strategically located fishing outpost. Founded in the 1750s by primarily Irish and English fishermen, the families who settled here made a living among the rocky shores, and the community still thrives today.
