Two men from Fort Lauderdale were rescued on Thursday after drifting away from their boat while exploring a coral reef in the Florida Keys.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), a 911 call came in at 5 p.m., reporting that the two divers had entered the water near Tennessee Reef and had been missing for over an hour.
USCG boat teams from Islamorada, along with a helicopter crew, participated in the search operation.
After an hour of searching, the Coast Guard reported that both divers were located unharmed and safely returned to their boat. A photo was taken with the divers to commemorate the successful rescue mission.
