A man tragically lost his life in a diving incident off the coast between Queenscliff and Barwon Heads in Victoria, Australia on Wednesday morning.
The man, who was diving with three others near the HMAS Canberra shipwreck around 9:30 a.m., encountered difficulties underwater.
His companions managed to bring him to the surface and performed CPR as they transported him to a boat ramp at Queenscliff harbour. Despite the quick response of emergency services, paramedics were unable to revive him.
Authorities are preparing a report for the coroner.
The HMAS Canberra was scuttled on 4th October 2009 as a dive site and artificial reef.
