A 63-year-old woman has tragically passed away following a diving incident at Shelly Beach, a well-known spot in Sydney. Emergency crews were dispatched to the location after reports that the woman was found unresponsive in the water. NSW Police reported that NSW Ambulance paramedics provided immediate medical assistance, but unfortunately, she was declared dead at the scene.
The popular beach, known for swimming, snorkeling, and various scuba diving activities, attracts numerous visitors and diving enthusiasts. A report on the incident will be prepared for the coroner. Emergency services responded to the scene in Manly shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday following concerns for the woman’s welfare.
