A 64-year-old man has passed away after being rescued from the water near Port Noarlunga Jetty.
According to police, he had been scuba diving beneath the jetty when he experienced a medical emergency.

Emergency services were called to the popular dive site shortly after 1:30 pm, with paramedics attempting to provide treatment for at least 15 minutes. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful.
A witness told 9News that concerns arose when no air bubbles had been seen from the diver’s equipment for approximately 10 minutes.

Another diver was alerted and helped bring the man to the surface before contacting emergency responders.
