For years, ScubaGaskets has been supplying the parts that keep other manufacturers’ regulators operational.
O-rings. Service kits. HP seats. Diaphragms. Lubricants. Tools. Sometimes an entire box of parts. Sometimes one tiny O-ring that brings a regulator back to the water.
That relationship has given us something extremely valuable: the trust of dive centres, technicians and divers around the world.
By now, our customers know that when a product has the ScubaGaskets name on it, it is not a random product.
It is something we have selected, examined and are prepared to support. That same approach is now behind the ScubaGaskets SGS3T4-T3 Octo breathing system.
And rather than simply telling you how good we believe it is, we would prefer you to find out for yourself.
It Started With Something Much Smaller
ScubaGaskets did not begin with complete regulators. We began with something much smaller, and something that can be just as important when a regulator is under pressure: the O-ring.
Our scuba-diving O-rings are not generic industrial O-rings selected only because the dimensions happen to fit. They are supplied exclusively through Europe Seals BV in the Netherlands and selected specifically for scuba-diving applications.
Europe Seals BV has a dedicated focus on the scuba market and states that specific materials and grades were developed after studying the conditions found in scuba equipment. Its O-rings are produced according to ISO 9001 and Six Sigma production systems, including automatic final quality control, with additional independent monitoring.
Material matters. Hardness matters. Quality matters. And putting the correct O-ring in the correct position matters.
The detail may be small. The responsibility is not.
Our O-Rings, Inside Our Regulators
When development of our own regulators began, we wanted the same attention to sealing components inside them. Special arrangements were therefore made with the regulator manufacturer so that the specified ScubaGaskets O-rings would be used.
At one stage, we seriously considered carrying out final assembly in Cyprus. The reason was not to put a “Made in Cyprus” story on the box. It was simply to make certain that the correct O-rings and the correct assembly procedures were being used.
We have since decided that all regulator stock will be held in Cyprus, with ScubaGaskets carrying out assembly, final inspection and serial-number recording before each sale.
This gives us direct oversight of the final preparation of each regulator set before it reaches the customer.
For a company built around O-rings, getting the O-rings right is not a detail. It is part of who we are.
But a Good O-Ring Does Not Make a Regulator
Attention to O-rings is only one part of the story. The complete breathing system still had to prove itself.
The regulator programme went through independent technical evaluation, complete disassembly, engineering feedback, modifications and the development of proper service procedures and manuals. That process took roughly two years. We wanted the regulator to be treated as a piece of life-support equipment that would eventually have to be used, maintained and repaired, not simply as another product to put on a website.
The SGS3T4 system then underwent independent testing to the applicable EN 250:2014 requirements, including cold-water performance at 4°C and testing with the primary and auxiliary second stages.
Certification matters. But certification alone cannot create trust.
A laboratory can test performance against a standard. It cannot tell a dive centre what it will feel like to own the regulator, use it every week, obtain spare parts for it and eventually put it on the service bench.
That Part Is Up to You
For us, the most important question now is simple: will the technicians, dive centres and divers who already know ScubaGaskets for parts and technical support give a ScubaGaskets regulator the same opportunity?
There is only one useful way to answer that question: put one in the water.
Put one SGS3T4-T3 Octo in your dive centre. Use it on ordinary dives. Give it to an instructor. Let a customer try it. Let your technician examine it. When service time comes, have it serviced by a suitably qualified technician and see for yourself how easy it is to obtain the parts and technical information you need.
Don’t take our word for it.
Evaluate it because you’ve dived it and serviced it.
DSE It. Dive It. Service It. Evaluate It.
The Regulator Is New. The Support Behind It Isn’t.
A regulator is not a disposable purchase. Years after the first dive, somebody still needs to provide the O-rings, seats, diaphragms and other service parts. Somebody needs to provide service information. And when a technician has a question, somebody needs to answer.
This is familiar territory for ScubaGaskets. For years, our work has been helping people keep scuba equipment operational when a small missing component could otherwise leave a regulator sitting on a bench.
Customers can explore our extensive regulator service kit range and specialist scuba servicing tools, which reflect the technical supply background behind the ScubaGaskets name.
The SGS3T4-T3 Octo simply brings that philosophy together in one complete breathing system.
One Set. One Opportunity.
The regular price of the complete SGS3T4-T3 Octo is €899. For the first 100 sets, the introductory price is €699.
The idea behind the offer is simple: make the first decision easier. Put one into real use and make the next decision from your own experience.
A regulator should not become unusable because a small part is difficult to find or service information is unavailable.
That philosophy has been part of ScubaGaskets from the beginning. We supply the parts that help keep scuba equipment operational. The SGS3T4-T3 Octo was built around the same idea: spare parts available, service manuals openly available, technical support, and worldwide shipping directly from the source.
Because selling you a regulator is only the beginning. Keeping you underwater is what matters.
