Work started and was completed back in December 2021 on removal of the four masts of the La Grande Hermine. This Niagara icon has been transformed. The Coast Guard said the so-called pirate ship in Jordan Harbour is beyond repair and the masks were deemed unsafe. The information video comes from Matt Ingram at CHCH news.
The burned-out hull is still in the harbour, now missing the four masks, and can be found on Queen Elizabeth Way between km 55 and 57.
