It is that time of the year again – Shark Week starts on July 2024, hosted by John Cena on the Discovery Channel.
The rumour among Discovery staff members is that the concept for Shark Week was first written down on a cocktail napkin. Someone reportedly said, “You know what would be awesome? “while founder Steve Cheskin and a few coworkers were having a drink in the late 1980s and talking about what would be a fun addition to the then-young channel’s schedule. “Shark Week” Taking out a pen, a fellow group member jotted down the suggestion on the nearest piece of paper—the napkin.
