In recognition of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the tragic loss of the EDMUND FITZGERALD and her crew my publisher, Avery Color Studios (orders@averycolorstudios.com, 1 800 722 9925) is producing an updated edition of my book “The Wreck of the EDMUND FITZGERALD”. The previous edition was issued for the 40th anniversary.
Two versions will be issued; a traditional soft cover for $19.95 and a special limited edition hard cover for $32.95.
The soft cover will be available in October (2024) and hard cover in May (2025). The hard cover must be pre-ordered by March 31 (2025).
This book provides an honest and straightforward appraisal of all the evidence and theories to enable readers to draw their own conclusions.
It is hard to believe FITZGERALD sank half a century ago. She still speaks both eloquently and powerfully “for those in peril on the sea”. Fred Stonehouse
The wreckage of the ship, which became the inspiration for Gordon Lightfoot’s popular song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, was severely restricted in access in 2006 due to an amendment made to the Ontario Heritage Act.
