Search teams have recovered the body of the second diver who failed to resurface to his dive vessel off the coast of Cork today.
His body was found at a depth of between 42m and 47m.
The two men from the UK were aged 61 and 66. The major search and rescue operation was sparked after the alarm was raised when two divers failed to reappear from a recreational dive on a submarine wreck, four miles south of Castlehaven, near Glandore in Co Cork.
One man was taken unconscious from the water and airlifted to Cork University Hospital by the Shannon coastguard helicopter this morning, however efforts to resuscitate him failed.
Our thoughts are with the families at this terrible time.
