I am a 75-year-old retired sea captain (unlimited master) with 52 years of ocean-going experience. My first job as a captain was running a supply ship for Global Marine in Houston Texas. In 1972, a group of my friends suggested that we form a non-profit group so we could get donations to save the whales. They put up the seed money and we formed a group called the Moby Dick Society. We have evidence that the great whales can detect major earthquakes 3 weeks in advance. Isn't that shocking? We are trying now to get together a group of volunteers to organize and work on this research project. If we can learn how they do it, then maybe we can predict earthquakes weeks in advance and save millions of human lives. Wouldn't that be something? Whales saving human lives!
